Hindu crowds gather in NYC despite heavy rains, chanting “we want justice.” Calling for an end to violence and persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

New York City: Times Square and UN Rally Ignites the Fight for Bangladeshi Hindus New York City erupted in a powerful display of solidarity as thousands gathered in Times Square and outside the United Nations to confront the horrifying atrocities faced by Bangladeshi Hindus. (I love this girl’s fire – YES – “We want justice, Stop killing Hindus!) American flags waved high, and signs bearing the brutal truth of Hindus being slaughtered, hunted, raped, and having their homes, temples, and businesses incinerated filled the streets. These peaceful yet determined crowds demanded one thing: an end to the Jihadi carnage that has targeted Bangladeshi Hindus and other non-Muslims with relentless brutality. But the rally was marked by a glaring absence. Where were the so-called “peaceful” Muslims? Where were the Islamic groups in America, who so often preach about tolerance and peace, to stand against this barbaric slaughter committed by their fellow Muslims? Not a single Islamic voice was raised in condemnation, not a single hand extended in solidarity with the persecuted Hindus. The silence was deafening. And what of the media, those self-proclaimed watchdogs of justice and truth? Where were they as New Yorkers rallied for a cause that deserves the world’s attention? Nowhere to be found. Instead, they were busy glorifying pro-Hamas protesters, who march through the city streets every week calling for the extermination of Israel and Jews. The media’s selective outrage is another betrayal, once again spitting in the face of those who stand against real, blood-soaked Islamic jihad. When Hindus are massacred, the so-called defenders of peace are nowhere to be seen. Their silence is complicity. Their absence is consent. And the world must no longer turn a blind eye to the Islamic slaughter that is being ignored by those who claim to stand for justice.

Iranian Activist and political prisoner Salam Sima comes out to support Hindus

“As a former political prisoner from Iran, I am proud to participate in the Toronto rally that stands with Hindus who are being massacred by the Islamists in Bangladesh. Islamists and communists once ruined my beautiful homeland, Iran. They are doing the same with Bangladesh. Freedom of religion must be respected. Attacking synagogues, churches and Hindu temples must be condemned. The world’s silence is deafening. We should not let Bangladesh fall to the hands of the Chinese communist regime and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Proud of everyone who stood today against Islamism.”

New Zealand Hindus including Bangladeshi minorities of all faiths in diaspora demonstrated today in Auckland in solidarity with Bangladeshi Hindus. They called upon NZ authorities to fast track refugee pathways and take care of existing Bangladeshi minorities on temporary visas who can’t go back to unsafe conditions. Speakers reminded the world this is not new, it happens continually and no matter which government is in power, it isn’t enough. Unless the human rights and international community speak out against the ongoing human rights violations, prejudice and persecution, the population could be at serious risk of ethnic cleansing as we have seen elsewhere in many countries where Hindus are in the minority.
