Andrew Charlton MP for Parramatta has proposed in the Parliament to recognise October as the Hindu Heritage Month on the 10th of October.
“From Darwin to Hobart, people across Australia are coming together to celebrate Diwali, one of the most joyous festivals of the year. More than just a festival of lights, Diwali reflects the core values of Hindu heritage: positivity, unity, generosity, and the spirit of community. As we mark Hindu Heritage Month, we recognise the significant contributions and the enduring success of the Hindu community, whose values continue to enrich our multicultural society. Wishing everyone a Diwali filled with light, love, and prosperity” – Andrew Charlton MP
