Well with the millionfold increase of Hinduphobic hate crimes , its not suprising as we predicted years ago that Hindus will be get attacked on the roads for just being Hindu seems to be coming true all the time. All this status bragging ‘we are highly educated, wealthy, we have CEOs , we are spelling bee champions, we are intellectual kshatriya , we pay taxes or we have no crime rate’ isnt going to protect you but actually is going encourage more Hinduphobic hate.Hindu temples along with raising hinduphobic crimes to the masses should be setting up martial arts sessions in all temples along with, other types of fitness training which is part of Hinduism anyway .)
Religious intolerance has completely taken over humanity and I have seen that today. I was taken aback to see my very lovely friend who was just dancing with us a couple of minutes back, now with a swollen eye and broken glasses.
He was literally punched because he is a “hindu”, what? I personally stopped believing in religion altogether since I started noticing the rate of hate crimes in India that revolved around religion. I know I was taken aback and it took me some time to process that a hate crime has been committed against someone I know personally but honestly, I’m not very surprised. If they can bring down the Indian flag in the consulates, they can indeed go around punching people on their faces solely because they come from a religion different theirs.
This is extremely disturbing! I, Soubaghya and Tridev spent almost two hours with the police for recording his statement.
This is not just about one punch but also the trauma that follows.It’s such a shame to be in this world atm with all the political unrest going around that’s leading to unjustified and petty actions like these.Next time if anyone asks me my religion, I will be shit scared to probably speak because what if?
