Ayodhya Ram Mandir andolan history : 1528 में mughal invader Babur ने अपने सेनापति Mir baqi को ram janmabhoomi mandir गिराने का फरमान सुनाया और मीर बकी ने हिंदुओं के सबसे पवित्र स्थान को ज़मींदोज़ कर वहां Babri Masjid का निर्माण करवा दिया. जिसके बाद 500 सालों तक Ram Bhakt द्वारा Ram Temple को पुन: स्थापित करने के लिए Ram Janmabhoomi andolan चलता रहा. रिपोर्ट्स की मानें तो Ram Temple को लेकर इतिहास में 76 के करीब संघर्ष हुए और 150 सालों से भी ज्यादा Ram Mandir को लेकर मुकद्दमें बाज़ी चलती रही.

Supreme Court की Ram Mandir पर आई Judgement में इस Nihang Singh का ज़िक्र है जिसने 1858 में अपने 25 Sikh साथियों को साथ लेकर Babri Masjid पर कब्ज़ा कर वहां एक चबूतरे का निर्माण भी किया था. यही नहीं इस निहंग सिख ने वहां Guru Gobind Singh और Lord Ram की प्रतिमा भी स्थापित की थी.
